Sigrid is an environmental and human rights researcher, writer, and Arctic explorer specializing in methane emissions, climate science, and human health. With expertise in remote sensing and field research, her work focuses on the environmental and societal impacts of Arctic methane emissions, integrating technology, and science communication to drive meaningful action. Sigrid has conducted research in extreme environments, from glaciers in Arctic and subarctic conditions to deserts in Australia, collaborating with scientists, Indigenous leaders and policymakers.
As a fellow of The Explorers Club, she is passionate about bridging the gap between scientific research, policy, and public engagement. Sigrid has also worked as a park ranger in Iceland, experiencing first-hand the effects of our changing climate. Sigrid publishes her work weekly on the Daniels Family Sustainable Energy Foundation's website and on the Platform for Peace and Humanity.
